Product Review: My Nails are Haunted

I have a lot of Halloween-themed clothing, and I’m trying to wear one Halloween item each day until Halloween — and maybe a few days after.

If you’re going to wear Halloween clothing, you need Halloween nails.

So this year, I found a set at Walgreens from the Kiss Haunt collection. The pink nails feature swirling white ghosts, adding a little Halloween spirit right down to my fingertips.

The design, called Cursed but Cute, features short, rounded, glossy pink nails with ghost designs and glow-in-the-dark details. They’re a little spooky and a little sweet, which seems like a good combination for Halloween.

They cost about $10. According to the Kiss website, the package comes with 32 nails in different sizes, along with nail glue. That doesn’t necessarily mean three full sets that will fit your fingers, but it does give you extras to work with.

This is great if you want to try to wear the nails throughout October. When one unexpectedly pops off, you have replacements — provided you can find the right fit.

I like the idea that celebrating Halloween doesn’t always require a costume or a big event. Sometimes, it’s just choosing something a little more fun to wear on an ordinary day.

There’s plenty in life we have to take seriously. Maybe that’s all the more reason to make room for the little things that lift our spirits — even if those spirits are tiny white ghosts on pink nails.
